In
the summer of 2010, John and Ian swapped the rolling hills of Northumberland
for the concrete jungles of London and Manchester. It was around this
time they discovered the exciting new phenomenon, the ‘e-mail’, to keep in
touch with each other. They would e-mail a couple of times a day and
almost instantly the main topic of conversation began to gravitate towards
football. Backward and forward the e-mails would go, as they talked about
people they loved and hated, rule changes, highlights, lowlights, transfer
targets, their team’s aspirations and other teams’ aspirations - to name
a few. The e-mails would contain hundreds of thousands of words
(sometimes rather spicy due to a certain Tyne and Wear rivalry) and out of those words came: The Centre Circle
